Terms of service
I love flowers and weddings and all things romantic. Meeting the wonderful people getting married and everyone involved in helping create your perfect day is often the start of creating new friends. My terms and conditions help clarify what to expect and protect us both. They are written in everyday language and will be sent to you before we agree to work together. Please read them carefully, because by booking my services with a signed contract and booking fee, you agree to my terms and conditions.
OUR CONTRACT
After our consultation, I will produce a detailed proposal for the flowers and floral designs you wish to receive and a date for your event when we will deliver the flowers. This will include the price and payment terms and forms my assignment. I will use reasonable care and skill in completing the assignment. Verbal or email instructions to proceed will constitute an acceptance in full of these terms.
DELIVERY
I will take responsibility for ensuring the quality of the flowers and floral designs until they are delivered on the day. If any of the flowers or floral designs do not meet your reasonable expectations, please tell me immediately upon realising this as this will maximise my chances of changing a design or replacing a flower so that you are happy. Where we agreed to the flowers to be delivered in containers (such as vases, ceramics, bowls and bottles) or with props (such as candelabras, candle holders, plinths and baskets), these are loaned to you. Any containers or props provided remain my property and must be returned at the end of your usage. Any breakages by you must be paid for or replaced “like for like”.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND IMAGES
You grant me consent to use any work including photographs created as part of the assignment to showcase my floristry services and designs, together with the right to display images as part of my portfolio and to write about the assignment on websites, and in my marketing materials. If you do not wish to grant this consent, you must confirm this in writing or by email within seven days of our agreement.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please be very sure you wish to proceed because I have a strict and transparent cancellation policy. Very, very occasionally there may be a need to cancel our plans and the assignment can be cancelled by either party in writing or by email. If you cancel our assignment more than more than six weeks before the date of delivery for the event, then the money already paid shall be forfeited. Cancellations within six weeks or less of the event are non refundable.
PAYMENT
I require you to pay a non-refundable booking fee of 30% of the price of your order on acceptance of my proposal. A further 30% is to be paid by you 6 months before delivery. The balance payment is required to be paid by you at least 4 weeks before delivery, including where applicable, any delivery costs.
EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
I cannot be held liable if limited or hindered from providing the flowers or floral designs due to government intervention, acts of God, civil disturbance, war, national or local disaster, strikes, labour disputes, epidemics or pandemics. I will use all reasonable endeavours to meet the delivery of the flowers and floral designs as specified in the proposal. In exceptional personal circumstances such as ill health, I will call upon fellow florists to help deliver the flowers as specified in the Proposal. This cannot be guaranteed.
